Description
Are you interested in meaningful and flexible work where you can contribute to children's development and learning? Then a position as a temporary substitute at a preschool might be right for you!
Work hours are Monday–Friday between 06:00–18:00. You make yourself available in our substitute management system Time Care Pool. We'd like you to be available for at least 8 shifts per month to create continuity.
Right now we have the greatest need for substitutes who can work in the outer areas of Kungälvs, for example Marstrand, Kärna, and Diseröd.
Responsibilities
As a temporary substitute, you work as needed, for example when regular staff are absent. It's an excellent way to gain valuable work experience—perfect to combine with studies or other activities.
You are responsible for:
Participating in daily care for children ages 1–5 years.
Creating a sense of security and being a positive role model.
Supporting children in their play, learning, and routine situations—both indoors and outdoors.
Contributing to a meaningful and enriching environment for each child and the entire group.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who:
Is at least 18 years old.
Has good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Is comfortable using mobile phones and computers.
Can provide a valid police clearance certificate (for schools/preschools).
Merits:
B driver's license and access to your own car.
Education as a childcare worker or preschool teacher.
Experience working with children.
What Does Our Recruitment Process Look Like?
Selection and interviews take place continuously based on each operation's needs.
You must provide a reference from your current or most recent supervisor or team leader with name, phone number, and email address. Do you have no previous work experience? Provide one of your teachers from your high school as a reference.
If you have previously been employed by Kungälvs kommun, internal references will be contacted.
If you are not a citizen of the EU/EEA area, a work permit is required; this does not apply if you have permanent residence status. The work permit must be presented at the interview.
Great weight will be placed on personal qualities.
To work in our operations, you must present a valid police clearance certificate every year. You apply for your clearance certificate from the Police Authority.
