We are looking for a dedicated, attentive, and trustworthy personal assistant who is willing to serve as a substitute carer for a woman who is blind, has no verbal speech, and needs support in all aspects of her daily life.
As a personal assistant, you will be an important support in her life. Your task is to provide her with the conditions to live a safe and meaningful life based on her needs.
About the Work
The woman needs support in all daily situations, which includes help with:
Personal care and hygiene
Dressing and undressing
Meals and transfers
Communication
Activities inside and outside the home
Household tasks and daily routines
Since the woman has no verbal speech, it is important that you are attentive, empathetic, and have the ability to interpret and understand individual expressions, signals, and communication methods. You will get to know her well and build a trusting relationship based on respect, patience, and trust.
We are looking for someone who:
Is calm, secure, and responsible
Has good empathetic abilities and great patience
Is attentive and can adapt to the individual's needs
Has good collaboration skills but can also work independently
Is flexible and sees opportunities rather than obstacles
Has good command of Swedish in speech and writing
Experience in personal assistance is desirable, but personal suitability is decisive.

Recruitment Process
We contact relevant candidates on an ongoing basis for an initial interview. The position will be filled when we have found the right person, which may occur before the final application deadline. Your application will be reviewed by staff at Storsjöbydens personliga assistans, together with the employer, as well as any relatives, guardian, or other concerned parties. If the position involves working with a minor, a criminal record check is required.

At Storsjöbydens personliga assistans, we carefully follow the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which means that if you apply for a position involving work with minors, the recruitment process will include specific steps to ensure that the child's wishes and needs are taken into account. Terms of Employment
If you proceed in the recruitment process, you need to be able to prove your identity and demonstrate that you have the right to work in Sweden. To sign your employment agreement and timesheets, you must have a BankID.
To ensure that we maintain high quality in our assistance, new employees will undergo a web-based introductory training course (approximately 1 hour), preferably before the start of employment but no later than one month from the start of employment.
