The Department for Elderly, People with Disabilities and Social Psychiatry encompasses both commissioning units and service providers. The department includes LSS housing, day activities, care and residential facilities, home care services, service housing, day centers, activity centers and support services, employment and housing within social psychiatry. The Housing with Special Services unit in Järva District Administration is responsible for 8 group and service homes and oversight of the Järva Personal Assistant unit. What unites the unit is that we work with the user's best interests in focus. Support is individually tailored with great emphasis on quality and safety in the home. Support is based on each individual's needs, circumstances and participation. We are looking for a support assistant with sleeping on-call/awake night shifts at a group home in Spånga. The group home is home primarily to people with various disabilities, including neuropsychiatric conditions and those on the autism spectrum. Your role As a support assistant, you will meet the users' individual support needs in all situations in daily life. You provide support and help to six adults with disabilities in their home. The role involves creating security, continuity and structure in everyday life as well as supporting the residents in their independence and participation. You contribute to a safe and pleasant living environment and work from a respectful and professional approach. The work also includes documentation, cleaning and supporting users with evening and morning routines. The goal is to give users the conditions to develop and maintain their independence. The work is based on respect for each individual's right to self-determination, integrity and participation. Your competence and experience We are looking for you who have: Completed care and nursing program with focus on disability, children and leisure program, support pedagogue or equivalent documented care and/or pedagogical education Worked at a group or service home Good computer skills Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, as you will have supporting conversations with users, further reporting and documentation. It is meriting if you have experience with: Cognitive aids Sign language Working with people with autism and neuropsychiatric disabilities The work tasks place high demands on personal responsibility, flexibility and initiative. We are looking for you who are confident in your professional role and act professionally. Since we work based on each individual's needs and circumstances, you need to be attentive and able to adapt your working style to different support needs. Structure, routines and planning are key words for the operations to function. We also see that you are proactive and have collaboration skills and are comfortable working independently.
