Do you want to contribute to everyone's right to read on their own terms? LL-förlaget is now seeking a substitute editor. LL-förlaget publishes easy-to-read books for adult readers with reading difficulties, so that everyone can have reading experiences at their own reading level.
About the Position
We are looking for a substitute editor at LL-förlaget, which publishes easy-to-read fiction and non-fiction literature for young adults and adults. Our publishing is broad and includes everything from novels and factual books to illustrated and practical handbooks. As an editor, you participate in the book process from idea to finished book. In close collaboration with publishers, authors, illustrators, and photographers, you ensure that publications maintain high quality.
The work tasks mainly involve working on multiple book projects in parallel. This includes:
- developing and editing manuscripts into easy-to-read Swedish, with the goal that books have good linguistic quality at a level suited to our target audiences
- supporting and maintaining ongoing dialogue with authors throughout the book process
- establishing and coordinating schedules for authors, illustrators, photographers, designers, proofreaders, and print suppliers.
The work tasks also include representing the publishing house and presenting books and informing about easy-to-read at trade fairs, seminars, and other events.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- several years of professional experience as a project-leading publishing editor, or alternatively several years of professional experience as a language consultant
- very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
- very good experience adapting texts for different target audiences
It is meriting if you have:
- experience working with easy-to-read
- good knowledge of book production
- good knowledge of InDesign
- good knowledge of Photoshop
- familiarity with MTM's operations, target audiences, and services.

You are driven by finding the right tone and level for different readers and by making good texts accessible to more people. To succeed in this role, you need to be organized and have the ability to work both independently and in groups.

About the Employment
The position is a substitute employment with start as soon as possible, at the latest until 2028-06-16, at 75 percent.
Salary setting at MTM is done in accordance with the central salary agreements RALS/RALS-T, and we apply individual salary setting. Our office is located in Malmö, and there is opportunity for some remote work.
