We have a broad emergency operation where patients of all ages are treated and all types of presenting complaints are handled. We are proud to be an emergency physician-led generalist operation where we can help anyone who needs emergency care regardless of their circumstances. The clinic is part of the operational area (VO) emergency care and internal medicine, which offers a spectrum of exciting challenges and opportunities. The emergency operation is among the country's largest with over 140,000 visits per year. These are distributed between two emergency departments, one in Lund and one in Malmö. Specialist physicians in emergency medicine work at both emergency departments and work in teams with nurses, nursing assistants, and secretaries. We train emergency physicians for future emergency care with high competence. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES Emergency Department Malmö is now seeking a licensed physician with AT/BT qualifications for a 6-month locum position. This is a perfect opportunity to experience what it is like to work in emergency care and get to know the clinic. The service is meriting for potential future specialist service within emergency medicine. At Emergency Department Malmö, you will care for children and adults of all ages with a broad range of diseases and conditions from medicine to surgery and orthopedics. Work is distributed across all hours of the day and all days of the week. When working at our emergency department, senior supervisors in emergency medicine are available on-site for supervision around the clock. The position will be based in Malmö, but work may also take place at other facilities within Region Skåne. QUALIFICATIONS We are interested in you if you are not afraid of a high work pace. You are prepared for the fact that the initial plan doesn't always hold and new pragmatic solutions need to be found. For you, patient contact is rewarding, as much as practical procedures. You enjoy working together with others, which means you learn by sharing yourself and receiving ongoing feedback. To better understand the nature of the job, you may benefit from reading the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations on emergency care as well as the emergency care mission as defined by the Swedish Society for Emergency Medicine (SWESEM). You have Swedish medical licensure with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you have Swedish language skills of at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale.
