About the Activity Kultureskolan (Culture School) in Vallentuna teaches children and young people in instruments, singing, choir, music production, dance, theater, musical, visual arts and design, and creative writing. Teaching takes place during students' leisure time in the Culture School's own facilities or, in some cases, in primary school facilities. The Culture School is part of the Culture and Recreation Department, along with libraries, other cultural activities such as Vallentuna Kulturhus, Vallentuna Teater, and the municipality's work with art and cultural environments, Youth and Active Recreation, and the sports and outdoor activities unit. Work Tasks In this role, you will teach children and young people aged 6-19 years in double bass, electric bass, and string orchestra. You will participate in various working groups and processes to develop a relevant and inspiring culture school. The position consists mainly of teaching in term-time courses in the afternoons and evenings and is scheduled for Mondays. Work on weekends occurs. Qualifications Music teacher education or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have double bass/electric bass as your main instrument and have broad genre experience. You have documented experience teaching children and young people at different levels in a culture school or other activities that the employer deems equivalent. You have good IT skills. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. Meritorious: You have good knowledge of classical music as well as pop, rock, and jazz. Experience with outreach activities. Good knowledge and experience with group teaching. Competence to teach acoustic guitar and electric guitar. The position is part-time, 20%, and is a substitute role from 2026-11-02 through 2027-06-24 or by agreement. We use individual salary setting.
