About the Organization Kulturskolan in Vallentuna teaches children and young people in instruments, singing, choir, music production, dance, theater, musical, visual arts, and creative writing. Teaching takes place during students' leisure time in Kulturskolan's own facilities or, in some cases, in primary school facilities. Kulturskolan is part of the Culture and Recreation Department together with libraries, other cultural activities such as Vallentuna Kulturhus, Vallentuna Teater, and the municipality's work with art and cultural environments, Youth and Active Leisure, and the sports and outdoor recreation unit. Responsibilities The position involves teaching children and young people aged 6-19 in guitar and bass, ensemble, and guitar orchestra. You will participate in various working groups and processes to develop a relevant and inspiring culture school. The role mainly consists of teaching in term courses afternoons and evenings. Weekend work occurs. Qualifications Music teacher education or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have guitar as your main instrument and have broad genre knowledge. You also have bass as a secondary or main instrument. You have documented experience teaching children and young people at different levels in a culture school or other activities that the employer deems equivalent. You have good IT skills. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. Meritorious: Experience with outreach activities. Good knowledge and experience in group teaching. Competence to teach double bass. The position is a part-time substitute employment, 40-60%, from 2026-11-02 through 2027-06-24 or by agreement. We apply individual salary setting.
