About the Job Do you want to work close to operations and use financial analysis to support management and decision-making? We are looking for a finance controller for a parental leave replacement who wants to contribute to stable and forward-thinking financial management. As a finance controller, you will work with the entire financial management process – from budgeting and forecasting to monitoring, analysis, and financial statements. You support managers in financial matters and prepare analyses and decision-making materials that contribute to well-founded decisions. The role combines ongoing financial work with analysis and development. You need to be able to understand the organization's conditions, identify what drives financial variances, and see connections between finances and operations. You will have responsibility for your own business areas and work closely with the managers you support. At the same time, you are part of a controller team where we share knowledge and help each other. You will have the opportunity to gradually grow into the role and take on increasingly independent responsibility. In your role as finance controller, you will, among other things: establish, coordinate, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans analyze financial results, key performance indicators, and variances, and report results to managers and leadership prepare decision-making materials, financial reports, and presentations carry out year-end closing work and contribute to quality in financial processes and reporting support managers in questions about planning, monitoring, and resource allocation collaborate with other functions to create a comprehensive picture of the organization's development contribute to the development of financial management, monitoring, and working methods. About You We are looking for you who have a university degree in economics, public administration, or other higher education that the employer considers equivalent. It is a merit if you have experience in financial work, for example in analysis, monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, or financial statements. This experience can come from employment, internship, trainee programs, or other relevant work. We appreciate practical experience, but we also welcome you who are at the beginning of your career and want to develop within financial management. It is also a merit if you have experience from Göteborgs Stad or other public sector operations, as well as knowledge of the social services field. To succeed in the role, you need to be analytical, able to see connections and draw well-founded conclusions. You can structure complex information and make it understandable and useful for others. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive work forward, while you are comfortable collaborating and receiving support from colleagues. You can prioritize when conditions change and maintain focus on what is most important. The role involves many contact points. The intended salary range for the position is 36,000 - 42,000 SEK per month. The salary is based on an overall assessment of your education, experience, and competencies you bring to the role.
