Härnösand Gymnasium is a school with approximately 900 students. The school offers a broad range of national programs, specializations, nationally recruiting programs, introductory programs, and sports specializations. The organization also includes adapted upper secondary school and a cultural school - providing a diverse and stimulating work environment.
All of our programs are located on a shared school campus on Härnön in Härnösand, creating a unified and collegial work environment with close collaboration between programs and staff.
We are seeking a substitute art teacher for the art and design focus within the Aesthetic Program at 100%
About the position:
Härnösand Gymnasium is looking for a teacher to provide instruction in art and form within the Aesthetic Program's art and design focus. You will be part of a work team, and we are therefore seeking someone who enjoys collaboration, is positive, and takes responsibility readily. Student mentorship is included in the position, and we expect you to have a coaching approach and genuine engagement for students' development and well-being! We view the work team and its collaboration as an important whole surrounding students' study situation.
Qualifications:
You should have:
- Teaching certification/teaching license in art and form
- Clear background check from the police registry before employment begins

- Conduct instruction at a high quality level based on national guidelines, requirements, and standards
- Have previous work experience in the field
- Have good digital competence
- Have good knowledge of working with students with different backgrounds and can adapt your instruction based on different needs

Temporary position at 100% from December 7, 2026 to June 17, 2027, with possible extension during fall semester 2027
