About the School
Praktiska Gymnasiet Skellefteå offers students a concept where theory alternates with practical exercises both at school and at workplaces. Our program offerings include: Electrical, automotive, construction, hotel, sales, and healthcare programs. Currently, the school has approximately 170 students and about 29 employees. We are located in a newly built school at Brogatan 27.
Your Assignment
This is a temporary hourly position as a substitute teacher, starting as soon as possible according to agreement. Some assignments come with short notice, while others have longer lead time. Teaching covers upper secondary subjects (mathematics, Swedish, English, physical education, social studies, religion, history, and natural sciences) as well as vocational subjects within our 6 programs. Your CV should clearly indicate which subjects you are able to teach.
As a substitute at the gymnasium, you lead instruction when the regular teacher is absent. You follow the lesson plan, maintain structure in the classroom, and contribute to a learning environment where students have the opportunity to succeed. Assignments vary in scope and suit those who want to work flexibly or develop their career as a teacher.
We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft and work in a Google environment through shared digital documents, calendars, and planning.

- Able to take responsibility and work independently, while also collaborating with colleagues
- Leadership qualities, as you manage classroom work with students and have pedagogical skills
- Strong digital skills, as we work digitally
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people and colleagues
Meritorious
- Certified teacher, studying to become a teacher, or have experience and ability to teach
