Elderly Care and Support Services
Welcome to Västervik and the Social Services Department!
We are now looking for someone who wants to create a meaningful and functioning everyday life where you can make a real difference in another person's life. Right now we are recruiting temporary staff for both support services and elderly care.
Working in care is both meaningful and developmental. You get a varied job where you make a real difference every day. In care, we focus on the individual's needs and quality of life, and we support people in living an independent and meaningful life.
Where can you work?
As a temporary staff member, you can choose to work in nursing homes, short-term accommodations, home care, group homes, or day programs. The activities operate around the clock, every day of the year, which means work can be scheduled during day, evening, night, and weekends. Heavy manual transfers may occur, but assistive devices are available.
Examples of work tasks:
Support in social situations
Support in personal care and meals
Medical work
Digital documentation
Work with technical assistive devices
Provide support and work with participation in the individual's daily activities

What are we looking for?
Greatest weight is placed on your personal qualities. It is not a requirement to have worked in care before, but of course it is an asset if you have previous experience in this field.
We are looking for someone who:
has a good view of people and a positive attitude
is considerate, empathetic, and concerned that others are doing well
is responsible both regarding your work tasks and professional relationships
is communicative and finds it easy to both make yourself understood and understand others
is respectful and values each person's integrity
is flexible and willing to step in on short notice.
Basic requirements
We are primarily looking for someone who is 18 years or older. A driver's license (category B) is required for several assignments, particularly in home care. It is a requirement that you master the Swedish language, as documentation and verbal communication are crucial for successfully completing the assignment.
Documentation is done digitally, so you need to be comfortable working in digital environments.
We consider it an asset if you:
have previous experience working in care or equivalent experience
have relevant upper secondary or higher education
have a driver's license (category B)
have previous experience in service or educational work.

If you are called for an interview, you are expected to bring valid identification, certificates, and grades that are relevant to the position and that support the information in your application.
