About the Position
Warmly welcome if you are an engaged and curious social worker with experience and knowledge of government work within social services for children and youth, and a great heart for children, young people, and their families and networks.
We are now seeking a 1-year temporary position on our unit.
As a colleague on our investigation unit, we together are responsible for investigations according to the Social Services Act / LVU legislation and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as related follow-ups regarding interventions.
As an investigating social worker in Laholm, you belong to a unit with colleagues who support each other and help when needed. In Laholm, as a case handler, you always have a co-handler and close and accessible support from both a senior social worker and a unit manager. We have a strong conviction that as an investigating social worker you should never have to be alone in the difficult processes and decisions that are our mission, and that it is of utmost importance that we have many "sounding boards" to do the best and most legally sound work possible.
Our investigations are conducted based on BBiC, and we use Signs of Safety and a solution-focused approach as our perspective and tools for our risk and safety assessments. We have continuous supervision and training initiatives.
Are You the One We're Looking For?
You have a degree in social work or another behavioral science university degree, combined with experience and validation/supplementation that is considered equivalent. You need to be well versed in current legislation. We hope that you have previous experience with government work with children and young people. Training and experience with Signs of Safety and a solution-focused working method are merits.
You want to make a difference for children and their families, you believe in every individual's capacity for change, and you see the family network as a positive driving force. You value children's participation and rights and have humility in the face of the complexity of each person's circumstances. You need to appreciate that the day doesn't always go as planned, which means you must be flexible and appreciate varied work. We place great importance on personal suitability.
Terms
We offer close management with continuous supervision and training so you feel secure and can develop in your role here at Laholm Municipality. Interviews and recruitment may be held during the application period and a probationary period may be applied.
A B-class driver's license is a requirement for the position.
