We are located in the Klöxhultsskolan facilities in Älmhult. Our school is inspired by Montessori pedagogy and works according to the curriculum guidelines. Here, students in preschool through grade 6 develop in a stimulating and safe environment where learning occurs both independently and in interaction with others. We work with mixed age groups, which creates opportunities for students to develop at their own pace, be inspired by one another, and learn through collaboration. By combining the individualized approach of Montessori pedagogy with the curriculum's goals, we create a learning environment where each student grows and develops based on their own circumstances. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher at Montessori School, you have broad and comprehensive responsibility for teaching in grades 1-2. The position includes mentorship. Our pedagogy is based on a shared approach and is characterized by a holistic perspective—everything we do is part of a larger context. During the 2026 school year, the entire school will begin a joint Montessori training program that requires active engagement with the pedagogy. QUALIFICATIONS You are a certified teacher with a specialization in grades 1-3. It is a merit if you have Montessori training or experience teaching at a Montessori school. To thrive at our Montessori School, you need to share our pedagogical approach and understand that different children have different prerequisites and abilities, and therefore learn in different ways and at different paces. This requires great patience and humility toward children's differences. We view children as independent individuals who should be allowed to make their own choices within predetermined boundaries. You should enjoy collaborating closely with your colleagues and be positively inclined to develop both yourself and others by sharing your knowledge and learning from others. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-10-19, end date: 2027-10-31.
