Gullingeskolan is a dynamic school characterized by high expectations for students and staff. Many different cultures come together here to learn from and with each other. We are a preschool-6th grade school with approximately 290 students and also include adapted primary school and after-school care. We are centrally located in Tensta near public transportation. Within walking distance are forests and meadows including Järvafältet, Eggeby gård, Spånga by, Spånga IP and Tensta simhall which we use in our education. Our engaged and competent staff see collaborative learning as an important part in developing our activities to give our students high knowledge development. After-school care staff have continuous time for collegial, departmental and individual planning one morning per week. Each department has a coordinator who works together with the assistant principal once a week. We offer Your role We need a competent childcare worker for our preschool class activities. You should be experienced in collaboration and meeting students at different levels and have experience working with students with special needs. During school hours you will assist students in instruction and help ensure that each student develops in the social context. You assist students during breaks and meals and through care and supervision contribute to a safe environment for the students. You conduct instruction according to the teacher's plans. Afternoons are devoted to after-school activities where students participate in various activities. You help students with daily tasks such as dressing and undressing, bathroom visits, possible diaper changes, meals, play and assist in instruction. In contact with guardians and other people around the student you are clear and attentive. You collaborate with colleagues on planning, implementing and evaluating activities. Your competence and experience We are looking for you who have: Upper secondary education in children and leisure or care and support or equivalent post-secondary education. Documented experience (please specify number of years) of work in primary school, adapted school, day activities, KTT or LSS. Good ability to express yourself and make yourself understood in Swedish in speech and writing. It is meritorious if you have: Education in special needs, low-arousal approaches, alternative communication, transfer techniques, and knowledge of intellectual disability. We are looking for you who are a trustworthy person with empathetic ability where you can put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation. You have good collaboration skills with an open, accommodating and problem-solving approach. You are self-directed and structure and solve work tasks independently. You are flexible and easily adapt your approach to new circumstances. As a childcare worker you are calm, stable and controlled in stressful situations and maintain a realistic perspective and focus on the right things.
