State Border Guard Daugavpils Administration, Daugavpils I Category Service, Foreign Nationals Accommodation Center "Rauda" Technical Systems Operator position (five vacancies) (profession code 5414 20, position family 4. "Security and Supervision", level III), work location: Rauda, Šēderes parish, Augšdaugavas Municipality.
Requirements for position candidates:
- at least secondary education or professional secondary education (4th professional qualification level, previously 3rd professional qualification level) required, preferably in civil and military defense or computer science;
- state language proficiency level – B level 2nd degree (B2);
- desired work/service experience in Ministry of Interior system institutions, Prison Administration, or National Armed Forces, or work related to technical security systems operation/knowledge;
- desired specific technical knowledge of the basic principles of structure and software of technical systems and equipment (devices) used in duty performance;
- required to complete the qualification improvement program for technical systems operators implemented by the State Border Guard College (hereinafter – VRK), certified by a VRK certificate;
- English language knowledge at A2 level in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages required, and English terminology relating to technical systems must be mastered for duty performance;
- ability to use computer programs (MS Office, email applications and internet browsers).
Main duties of the position:
1. to know the types, structure, configuration, functions, operating regulations, application and use procedures of the presence detection system, video surveillance system and security system (hereinafter collectively – technical systems) under the Foreign Nationals Accommodation Center "Rauda" (hereinafter – Center) responsibility, and to know and be able to use the technical systems available for duty performance;
2. to perform monitoring of the Center's territory, its buildings and premises, persons and vehicles moving in the Center's territory, monitoring of behavior of foreign nationals accommodated in the Center, using technical systems provided for this purpose, recording the results of technical system operation;
3. to control the operation of technical systems and image compliance with the actual situation, prevent unauthorized persons from accessing technical systems, and immediately report to the Center's appointed senior officer about signals received from technical systems, detected possible violations, operational malfunctions, errors and observed situation changes;
4. to process and check technical systems alarm signaling, ensure prompt resolution of alarm situations, organize information exchange with officials of other institutions and services involved in the incident;
5. to collect operation results of technical systems under the Center's responsibility, analyze information, prepare necessary reports;
6. to ensure continuous external and internal security of the Center's territory and service premises using video surveillance systems, as well as to perform inspection and registration of persons entering and leaving the Center's territory and vehicles entering and leaving;
7. to fill out and execute service documentation in the prescribed manner and provide suggestions for improving technical system operation;
8. to practically train junior colleagues in working with technical systems.
