Drottning Blankas Gymnasieskola in Gävle was founded in 2013 and offers vocational and higher education preparatory programs in Business, Social Studies, Hair and Styling, and Sales and Service. The school has approximately 440 students and 40 staff members. We are now seeking a teacher for our Hair and Styling program.

Your Assignment
The position includes teaching hair care and salon knowledge level 1, practical marketing level 1, and supervising student capstone projects. You will also serve as a mentor for a class together with a colleague.
In your teaching, you combine practical work with theory and create a clear connection between education and professional practice. You collaborate with colleagues and industry contacts and have an important role in continuing to develop an attractive, practice-oriented program.
Your Profile
First and foremost, we are looking for someone who is trained and credentialed as a vocational teacher. We also welcome those with extensive and relevant experience in the field and a strong interest in teaching and developing young people.
You are organized, attentive, and confident in your leadership. You have a talent for building positive relationships and can meet students according to their individual needs and circumstances. You collaborate well with others and recognize that being a good role model for our students is a given.

Other Information
The position is 50 percent and is a fixed-term employment from October 26, 2026–June 18, 2027, with the possibility of continued employment. Start date by agreement.
