Begravningsbolaget AB is now seeking new employees for the transport of deceased persons as part of the Police Authority's assignment. We are seeking both full-time staff and extra personnel for work on evenings, weekends, and as needed.
About the Job - Transport and Handling of Deceased
When a person passes away, the body must be transported in a dignified and secure manner. This may involve pickup from the place of death to the nearest mortuary or transport to the National Board of Forensic Medicine for examination.
As a transportation employee with us, you will become part of the entire chain of handling the deceased. The work is always done in teams of two, where you alternate between driver and assistant. You work closely with the Police Authority, the National Board of Forensic Medicine, municipal facilities, external care facilities, and our own funeral homes.
Working hours are variable and workload can fluctuate between high-intensity periods and quieter shifts. The work also involves responsibility for vehicle maintenance, material handling, and working with a degree of autonomy.
Work Tasks
Transport and handling of deceased persons
Coffin placement and assignments for our funeral homes
Vehicle maintenance and handling of work and consumable materials
Cooperation with authorities, healthcare personnel, and relatives
Qualifications
High school education or equivalent
Class B driver's license (required) and comfort driving larger vehicles
Basic computer skills
No criminal record and not appearing in the Police Authority's disclosure register (background check conducted according to Police Authority requirements)
Good physical condition and stable mental health, as the work can be both physically demanding and psychologically challenging
Merits

Experience in healthcare, social services, transportation, or other service-oriented activities

Employment Terms
We apply individual salary setting in accordance with Kommunal's guidelines.
Depending on the degree of employment, a fixed monthly salary or hourly rate is applied.
A criminal record disclosure is conducted before employment.
