The Acute Care Unit is part of the Acute Clinic, which together with the region's two emergency departments plays a central role in caring for acutely ill and injured patients. The clinic has almost 200 dedicated employees. We are an academic acute clinic with excellent opportunities for learning and development in everyday work.
This is the AVA with IMA beds in Ljungby:
The new unit will improve patient flow at the hospital and strengthen care for patients who need more monitoring and treatment than other medical areas at the hospital can provide.
In the first phase, we will open the acute care unit starting in week 34. In the next phase, in the fall, we will open intermediate care beds in the unit. In total, the unit will have 16 AVA beds and 3 IMA beds.
With us, you will meet patients with conditions including medicine, surgery, orthopedics, and infections. Hospital stays are usually short and work is characterized by:

DUTIES
As a nurse, you work close to patients. Clinical assessments and prioritization are a central part of the work.
Duties include, among other things:
• continuous monitoring and clinical assessments
• planning and coordination of patient care
• close collaboration with doctors and other professions
We are now looking for nurses primarily interested in working with intermediate care patients, but as a nurse with us you will work with both intermediate care and patients on the acute care unit, based on your expertise. For additional variety and skill development, there is an opportunity to combine service with other units at the hospital. Since it is a new unit, you will receive training before the unit opens, plus an individualized introduction and a mentor. If you are hired by Region Kronoberg, you will also receive a region-wide introduction.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed nurse.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent employment.
Duration: Permanent, start date: By agreement.
Working hours: Shift work. Rotating shift work according to schedule, you work both day, evening, and night shifts. You work 2 of 5 weekends.
