Regional Manager for an expansive and fast-moving player in volume retail

In collaboration with one of the Nordic region's most successful players in volume and discount retail, we are now seeking a business-driven and present Regional Manager.
About the Role and Assignment
As Regional Manager, you will have full responsibility for results, operations, and leadership in your district. The role is highly operational and requires a strong presence in the field – on average, you will spend 4 days per week in the stores and 1 day focused on administration, analysis, and meetings.
Your main focus is to create order and structure, ensure a consistently high store standard, and drive sales management and cost efficiency in close collaboration with your Store Managers.
Your main areas of responsibility:
Responsible for the district's budget with a strong focus on sales, personnel costs (percentage and amount) and average transaction value.
Coach, set requirements, and develop your Store Managers to build strong teams and achieve set goals.
Ensure that central decisions, campaigns, and procedures are followed with high precision at the store level.
Drive knowledge sharing between stores and build a down-to-earth culture characterized by collaboration and team spirit.
Handle personnel matters and labor negotiations with support from a dedicated HR partner.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, enjoys high tempo, and enters the role with endurance and structure. You are a communicative leader who is quick to act, but also has the ability to pause, analyze key metrics, and prioritize the right things.
Your Background and Competencies:
You have several years of experience as a leader at district or regional level (or alternatively as a store manager for a very large unit) within volume retail, discount retail, or grocery retail.
Proven experience managing operations against strict key metrics, with particularly strong understanding of labor hour and personnel cost control.
Good understanding of the Retail Agreement and confidence in basic labor law and labor negotiations.
You are comfortable traveling and have a valid driver's license (category B). Travel with overnight stays is a natural part of your working week.
