Karlbo School is a small F-6 school where everyone knows everyone and where we work together around our students. The school is characterized by a movement profile, where movement in various forms occurs regularly.
We're looking for someone who wants to work at a small school where everyone knows everyone and where we collectively take responsibility for creating good learning environments for our students.
Together with the school's other staff and student welfare team, you work to provide value and learning throughout the child's entire school day. We combine the small school's short decision-making processes, closeness, and family-like atmosphere with clear routines and systematic approaches to make it easy to do the right thing.
At the small school, collaboration becomes a very important success factor. You are positive and see solutions instead of obstacles.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The main task is working in the after-school program where you, together with colleagues, plan, implement, and follow up on the educational activities in the after-school setting.
Work in the school's activities is also part of the position. This may mean you provide support during class time, work with students in smaller groups, or contribute to a safe and active recess program. You are an important part of students' entire school day and work closely with the school's other staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
While we primarily seek someone who is trained as an after-school educator or a licensed teacher in after-school settings, we are also open to hiring someone who does not yet have this qualification. If you have documented experience working in after-school programs, excellent references, and a willingness to further your education in the field, a permanent position may be possible.
We're looking for someone with good pedagogical experience and genuine commitment to children's development and learning. You have very good social skills, are skilled at collaboration, and work from a relational and solution-focused approach. You have the ability to create safe and trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and actively contribute to a positive work environment.
We value someone who is self-motivated, flexible, and sees opportunities where others see obstacles. You work independently when needed but also recognize the strength in developing the program together with others.
Knowledge of and experience working with students who have diabetes is highly desirable. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability, pedagogical experience, and your references.
Your communication skills, both verbal and written, are very good.
