Do you want to contribute to safety and security in a socially important operation? Gästrike Räddningstjänst is now looking for a fire inspector/engineer specializing in supervisory activities for a 12-month temporary position with the possibility of extension.
As an inspector/engineer with us, you will conduct and develop work in the accident prevention field. Your organizational affiliation will be with our Public Safety unit. You will be part of a team with other qualified inspectors and engineers. Gästrike Räddningstjänst consists of five member municipalities: Gävle, Sandviken, Ockelbo, Hofors, and Älvkarleby. Within the Public Safety unit, you work for the entire federation, but your workplace will be at the fire station in Gävle or Sandviken.
We have approximately 120 full-time employees, just over 170 part-time employees, and about 20 different professions. Everyone is needed for us to fulfill our mission.
Main responsibilities
Your main duties will involve supervision according to the Act (2003:778) on Protection Against Accidents. You work independently and with support from other case handlers based on an established supervisory plan. The supervisory process includes preparation, implementation, and completion according to established procedures.
Together, we work to help achieve the federation's strategic and operational objectives. You will receive an introduction and internal training in your work areas. We also offer you the opportunity to take courses related to your work areas through the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MCF).

Since the role involves considerable planning and case handling, it is important that you, as an applicant, have strong administrative skills and are good at structuring your work. As a person, you are driven with good collaboration skills and can make independent decisions.

Qualifications
Education in Protection Against Accidents or completed education as a fire engineer, civil engineer, building inspector, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
Class B driver's license
Meritorious:
MCF's training in Supervision and Other Accident Prevention Activities A
Experience with the Daedalos activity support system
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
