Prima Omsorg i Norden AB is an assistance provider that strives to maintain the highest possible quality in the delivery of assistance services. Our goal is always the highest possible quality of life for the assistance users who have chosen us as their provider. We believe education and guidance are the path to achieving this. That is why, as an employee at Prima Omsorg, you can expect to receive valuable knowledge and continuous guidance regarding your work tasks.
We are looking for a dedicated and confident personal assistant who wants to work pedagogically and actively with our client. Our client is 25 years old and lives independently on Södermalm. He has autism and epilepsy and therefore requires personal assistance around the clock, year-round. He needs active supervision and presence during all his waking hours, where you as an assistant need to be attentive, responsive, and able to read his needs and well-being.
The work takes place both at home, outdoors, and at daily activities. As a personal assistant, you are an important support in his daily life and help him create structure, participation, and independence.
The work includes, among other things:
• Providing support in various everyday situations
• Being active and planning meaningful activities together
• Accompanying him on outings and various activities
• Providing support with meals and personal hygiene
• Supporting communication and social situations
• Creating a sense of security and predictability
• Noticing changes in his well-being and adapting your work approach to the situation
• Working pedagogically with a focus on participation, self-determination, and independence
We are looking for someone who:
• Enjoys being outdoors and planning different activities
• Likes outings and discovering new environments
• Is active, creative, and resourceful
• Is confident in yourself and can remain calm in challenging situations
• Is attentive and clear in your work approach
• Works motivatingly and pedagogically
• Has a calm and respectful demeanor
• Is cooperative and enjoys working together with others, as dual assistance occurs
• Can read situations and the client's well-being and act accordingly
• Can write, understand, and speak Swedish fluently
Previous experience working with autism, epilepsy, and/or challenging behaviors is a merit. However, the most important thing is that you have the right mindset, are responsive, and want to develop in your pedagogical work. Since our client is active and the work can be physically demanding, you need to have good physical fitness. With us, you will receive clear job descriptions and routines that are continuously developed together with the work team. We work with quality, continuity, and with a focus on the client's self-determination, participation, and independence.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in regular supervision and training, where we together develop the pedagogical work approach and create the best conditions for our client.
Working hours vary with shifts during day, afternoon, evening, and weekends. We are looking for someone willing to work 80–100%.
