In this role, you will have independent responsibility for ongoing accounting and become an important part of the finance department. You will work closely with the finance manager and serve as qualified support to both the operations and other finance colleagues. About the position: As a Senior Accounting Assistant, you are responsible for ensuring a correct and efficient accounting process. You work both operationally and with a development focus, contributing to improved routines and efficient financial processes. Your responsibilities: -Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable. -Perform reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts. -Handle VAT reporting and basic tax matters. -Work with accruals and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing statements. -Prepare payment proposals and conduct bank reconciliations. -Participate in audits and prepare requested documentation. -Identify and drive improvements to financial processes and internal routines. -Collaborate with operations and external parties on financial matters. Your profile Secondary education with an economic focus or post-secondary education in economics or accounting. -At least 3–8 years of experience in qualified accounting work. -Documented experience with independent closing work. -Good knowledge of VAT reporting, account reconciliations, and tax management. -Experience with modern ERP and accounting systems. -Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Desirable: -Experience with project accounting. -Experience with process development and digitalization. After 6–12 months in the role, you are expected to: -Independently manage ongoing accounting within your area of responsibility. -Deliver accurate closing statements according to established timelines. -Contribute to more efficient financial processes and improved routines. -Be a natural support and knowledge resource for colleagues. -Actively contribute to the organization's financial quality and continued development.
