About Us
Connect Bus is one of the largest operators in public transportation in the Nordic region and works to create safe and sustainable mobility for people every day. In Jämtland, we are an important part of public transportation and operate both scheduled routes on behalf of Länstrafiken and ski buses in Åre during the winter season.
Do you love mountains, nature, and skiing – and do you enjoy driving a bus? Then this could be the job for you. As a bus driver in the Åre Valley, you'll have a job where no two days are quite alike, while becoming an important part of people's daily lives and their experience of Jämtland.
We are seeking full-time bus drivers for our depots in Duved, Järpen, and Hallen.
What We Offer
With us, you don't just get a job – you get the opportunity to combine work with life in the mountains. In your free time, skiing, cycling, hiking, and nature await right around the corner.
Connect Bus offers various types of accommodations to its staff, which can be a great benefit both for those considering relocating to Jämtland and wanting help with housing during your first time in the area.
Here you become part of a work group where some work year-round and others return season after season. There are great opportunities to meet new people, build a strong sense of community with colleagues, and create a daily life for yourself in the Åre Valley.
Your Responsibilities
As a bus driver, you are an important part of public transportation in Jämtland. You transport both residents and visitors to where they need to go – to work, school, the ski slopes, activities, or further out in the mountains.
During the winter season, you are also part of Skistar's offering in Åre and can, among other things, drive ski buses. We also work on behalf of Länstrafiken in Jämtland and are responsible for scheduled routes in Åre municipality.
The most important aspect of the role is to create a safe, secure, and smooth journey for our passengers. The weather and roads can sometimes present challenges, but that is also part of the charm of driving a bus in the mountains.
Your Profile
You are a person who enjoys meeting people and who is comfortable taking responsibility. You have a good manner with people, collaborate well with colleagues and traffic management, and remain calm even when circumstances change.
The role requires that you hold a Class D driver's license and YKB for buses, as well as a digital tachograph card. You also need to be able to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
Experience as a bus driver is of course a merit, but what matters most to us is that you are confident behind the wheel and want to give our passengers a really great experience.
