Folkuniversitetet's mission is to provide people with the conditions for a richer life through knowledge and creativity. In central Linköping, we offer a popular and growing course program, primarily in dance, art, and languages, for participants of various ages and levels. Our activities are characterized by dedicated instructors and an inspiring learning environment, and serve as an important meeting place for culture, creativity, and artistic development.
About the position
We now want to expand our course offerings further and are seeking a person to develop and manage a diverse range of subjects. You will be responsible for our existing language programs, but are also expected to develop entirely new offerings – for example in work life, stock market knowledge, AI, history, philosophy, textile crafts, or nature and gardening – based on local demand and dialogue with the community. In addition to on-site courses, we would like you to develop distance learning courses as well as free courses in sustainability and democracy. You will work closely with another development manager responsible for other subject areas.
Main responsibilities
Analyze target groups, market, and local needs to identify relevant courses.
Plan and develop the course program based on organizational goals, demand, and budget.
Recruit and maintain contact with course instructors and partners.
Manage practical course planning: schedules, facilities, course launches, and administration.
Track results and participant interest to continuously improve the program.
Collaborate with colleagues in marketing, administration, and management.
What we're looking for
You have strategic ability, local understanding, and strong execution skills. You can analyze target groups and needs, drive projects from idea to implementation, and think commercially about budgets, pricing, and marketing. You are relationship-oriented and collaborative, as well as creative, proactive, and flexible in developing new ideas.
Qualifications
Ability to work independently, in a structured manner, and goal-oriented.
Knowledge of Linköping's cultural, educational, or association life.
Ability to build and develop collaborations, internally and externally.
Strong administrative skills: planning, follow-up, and coordination.
Experience working with social media as part of your work.
Very good Swedish, spoken and written.
Relevant academic education or equivalent.
Good IT skills
Meritorious
Experience planning and coordinating course or educational programs.
Experience with basic budget work, activity planning, and results tracking.
Very good English, spoken and written. Additional languages are an advantage.
About the position
6-month probationary period at 80% FTE based in Linköping. Start date December 1 or by agreement.
