Business Development Manager at Ungdomsjouren Fria Do you want to be part of creating a society free from violence, oppression, and abuse? Are you passionate about empowering young people and believe in the power of preventive work? Then you might be the person we're looking for. Ungdomsjouren Fria is Sörmland's first youth helpline dedicated to young people aged 12–19. We consist of a board, employees, and about 30 volunteers who together work to support, empower, and educate young people in Eskilstuna. We collaborate with schools, social services, leisure activities, and sports organizations. We are a non-profit organization financed by grants from, among others, the National Board of Health and Welfare, the Gender Equality Agency, and we have an agreement with Eskilstuna Municipality. You can read more about our activities here: Ungdomsjouren Fria - Unizon (unizonjourer.se) We are now looking for a committed staff member who wants to be part of developing our organization and creating even greater opportunities for young people. About the Position As a business development manager/training coordinator with us, you will work in close collaboration with other employees and the board at the helpline. The board makes decisions on overarching matters, is responsible for your and your colleagues' work environment, and leads based on freedom with responsibility, which means you and your colleagues have significant influence on how the organization operates. You will work in a small team, which means a large part of the work is done independently. The role therefore requires that you thrive with personal responsibility, can drive processes forward, and structure your own workday. The position is broad and varied, encompassing both operational and strategic work within business development, training, projects, and collaboration. In the role, you will, among other things: · Write grant applications and be responsible for follow-up and reporting · Build and develop relationships with grant providers, funders, and collaboration partners · Plan and conduct MVP training as well as other training, workshops, and lectures for young people, professionals, and other target groups · Provide basic training for new volunteers · Conduct school visits and workshops at schools, youth centers, and within sports organizations · Participate in and organize outreach activities such as summer camps and other events · Plan, lead, and follow up on projects and campaigns · Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and support for volunteers · Participate in and conduct monthly meetings and other internal activities · Represent Fria in media, networks, and external contexts · Work with business development and environmental monitoring · Contribute to the organization's communication and social media presence Qualifications We are looking for someone who is educated, or is currently studying, as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or other relevant education that we deem equivalent. It is a merit if you have experience working with gender equality, LGBTQ+, and youth issues. To succeed in the role, we see that you · Are driven, self-motivated, and take initiative · Are creative and enjoy turning ideas into action · Are comfortable meeting with young people and have an easy time building contact, trust, and engagement · Have good ability to speak to groups and feel comfortable holding training, workshops, and lectures · Have an easy time building relationships and creating collaborations · Are organized and able to manage multiple processes in parallel · Share our vision of an equal society free from violence It is a merit if you have: · Training in or experience with MVP (Mentors in Violence Prevention) · Experience from helpline work or the non-profit/civil society sector · Experience working with intimate partner violence, violence prevention, mental health, or gender equality issues · Experience in project management or business development · Experience applying for and reporting on project and organizational grants What We Offer In addition to training and conferences, we offer you good working conditions! You have, for example, goal-oriented working hours which means a flexible way of working, varying work tasks, an employer who follows up on your work environment, individual salary development, and regular supervision. With us, you get meaningful work where you contribute every day to empowering young people and preventing violence. You become part of an engaged organization where ideas are welcomed and where you have significant personal responsibility in a small team with close collaboration. Since we are a small team, we are also flexible in dividing work tasks as needed. This means we help each other, divide the work, and prioritize based on competence and preferences, for everyone's wellbeing and satisfaction. This flexibility is an advantage for work-life balance! We offer a workplace where you have the opportunity to influence, develop, and shape the organization together with engaged colleagues and volunteers. Welcome to become part of Ungdomsjouren Fria and be part of creating real change. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Employment Type: Permanent position with a 6-month probationary period. Scope: 30–50%, by agreement with the employer. We are open to suggestions, for example if you are a student. Working Hours: Goal-oriented working hours 35 h/week as a full-time measure, office hours. Occasional work on weekends for training or holiday activities (occurring no more than 4–5 times/year). Salary: Monthly salary. We are governed by a collective agreement with salary levels that follow the market. Start Date: By agreement. We prefer that you can start within 3 months. Collective Agreement: Yes, via Unionen/Akademikerförbunden. Recruitment is ongoing.
