About Us Sahlgrenska University Hospital is organized into eight areas. Area 2 includes all adult psychiatric care, with approximately 2,000 employees in both inpatient and outpatient care. Area 2 is led by an area manager, and the management team includes functions for HR, finance and development. The management team is located at Östra sjukhuset, in beautiful facilities with a view over Gothenburg. Healthcare faces major challenges, and to continue offering residents accessible, safe and quality assured care in the future, new solutions and working methods are required. The HR department at Area 2 is an active partner in addressing the challenges facing the entire healthcare sector. Our focus is to provide qualified HR support to the business managers and thereby help our area achieve its operational goals. Sahlgrenska University Hospital is in a development phase, with several different change initiatives to reach the overarching goal of becoming Europe's leading University Hospital by 2032, and HR has an important role in contributing to this transformation. About the Role We are looking for an HR specialist who wants to work closely with an operational area. In this role, you will be a close partner to the business managers and provide both operational and strategic support, supporting the implementation, execution and analysis of HR activities. You will become an integral part of the business management team and work broadly with issues such as employment law, work environment, change management, cooperation/MBL, rehabilitation, competency planning and compensation. As an HR specialist with us, you will have a broad and varied role where you work both operationally and strategically. You will be an important part of a great team of six HR specialists and one HR manager. With high expertise, we actively work to create conditions for a sustainable work environment and contribute to the development of the business. As an HR specialist, there is also the opportunity to participate in hospital-wide development groups and networks, thereby supporting the business at several different organizational levels. About You You have an academic degree in HR or other education that the employer deems equivalent, and at least three years of experience in qualified HR work. It is a merit if you have experience working in public sector operations. To thrive here, you need to be confident in independently handling complex personnel matters, driving change initiatives from start to finish, and have an interest in working time issues. We value personal qualities highly. Your strength lies in independently planning, driving and concluding projects and matters, but also in actively contributing to common goals. You serve as a role model through your professional approach, communication and collaboration. You are a team player who enjoys sharing knowledge, collaborating and building strong relationships – both within the HR team and with business managers and leadership groups. Personal integrity and the ability to act in line with the hospital's values are essential for you. As a person, you are analytical, development-oriented and flexible. You enjoy collaborating, build trusting relationships and thrive in an organization that sets high standards – but also provides great opportunities to make an impact. Work in Area 2 can be described as engaging, challenging, complex and dynamic. Here you will have qualified and meaningful work in a committed HR department and an exceptional organization.
