Company Description Forsmark nuclear power plant is one of Sweden's largest electricity producers and we produce one-sixth of the electricity consumed in Sweden. At Forsmark, you have the opportunity to build expertise in valve technology while working in a technically advanced and socially important operation. As a Valve Technician, you work with maintenance, troubleshooting, renovation, and functional testing of valves and other mechanical components in the facility. You don't need to know valve technology when you start – we invest in developing expertise internally. Together with experienced technicians, you will learn the work and gradually build up your competence. About the Job As a Valve Technician, you become part of one of our operational groups within mechanical maintenance. Together, we are responsible for ensuring that important components in the facility function safely, efficiently, and reliably. The work is varied and combines practical maintenance with troubleshooting, problem-solving, and development of work methods. You will gradually build up your expertise in valve technology while learning more about Forsmark's facility and its processes. You work closely with other technicians, maintenance engineers, and operations personnel. Knowledge sharing and collaboration are a natural part of everyday work and you have the opportunity to learn from colleagues with extensive experience in the field. The role includes, among other things: Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on valves Conducting troubleshooting and problem-solving Planning and preparing upcoming work Performing tightness testing and functional checks Contributing to the development of methods, work procedures, and the work area Participating in mechanical work in connection with overhaul shutdowns Unconventional working hours occur mainly during the overhaul periods. Requirements Specification We are looking for someone who has a technical or mechanical interest and wants to continue developing with us. You do not need to have previous experience with valve technology. The most important thing is that you are curious, want to learn new things, and enjoy practical work. We would like you to have: High school education with technical or mechanical focus, or equivalent work experience Experience in mechanical or technical work Category B driver's license It is advantageous if you have experience in valve technology or valve maintenance, but it is not a requirement.
