Lead Social Worker (M/F)
We are seeking a lead social worker for the Low-Threshold Facility for Children and Youth Domino, who has a genuine connection with children and young people and wants to do their work with heart. Our clients are children and young people growing up in socially disadvantaged environments or facing difficult life situations who need a safe and supportive space during their free time.
Job responsibilities:
- Leading and supporting the work team
- Coordinating the operation of the facility
- Creating and updating methodologies and quality standards for social service delivery
- Social work with clients, managing individual plans, client documentation and related administrative tasks, supporting clients through difficult life situations
- Participating in the preparation and implementation of educational and recreational activities at the facility
- Collaborating with related institutions and organizations in the community
- Seeking opportunities for co-financing the social service and leading smaller supported projects, communicating with donors and sponsors
Work hours: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, and occasional afternoon shifts 9:30 AM–6:00 PM as needed
What we expect:
- A requirement is a minimum of higher professional or bachelor's degree in social work, social policy, or social pedagogy in accordance with the Social Services Act No. 108/2006 Coll. (applicants without the required education will not be admitted to the selection process)
- Knowledge of PC work, communication skills
- A humane and respectful approach, empathy, responsibility, independence, and the ability to lead a team with calm and perspective
- Willingness to work with Roma children and youth, to conduct field work in the socially excluded Janov locality according to the facility's current program or individual client needs
We are looking for someone who cares that the facility is a safe place for children where they find support, acceptance, help, and space for meaningful free time activities, their interests, and opportunities to develop their abilities
An advantage is experience in social services or work with children and youth; we welcome someone with good ideas and creativity
Employee benefits: 25 days of vacation, friendly team, opportunities for further training, base salary 32,500 Kč + special allowance, personal performance bonus and leadership allowance after probation period, option to extend employment contract after 1 year of employment
