Legal Department
The Legal Division is seeking a Senior Expert
(civil servant position for an indefinite period)

Your main responsibilities:
review appeals and prepare draft decisions regarding administrative acts and actions taken by institutions (including permits for polluting activities, waste management, chemicals, mineral resource use, etc.);
ensure the institution's representation and document preparation in legal proceedings;
prepare information drafts for coordination in transboundary pollution transfer cases;
prepare informational materials and participate in activities promoting environmental education and public awareness.
What we expect from you:
compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
higher education (at least a bachelor's degree) in chemistry, geography, biology, environmental science, or engineering sciences, or in another field if supplemented with professional experience or specialized studies relevant to this position;
knowledge of the system of environmental protection legal acts at the national and European Union level, as well as public participation in decision-making related to environmental protection;
sound Microsoft Office skills;
excellent command of the state language and desirable English language skills for work with EU-level regulatory acts;
digital signatures;
preference – professional experience in a profession or specialty related to the areas mentioned in the responsibilities, or experience in state administration (longer than one year).
Also important are the ability to work in a team and with large volumes of information, the ability to prioritize and plan your work accordingly, to argue your viewpoint, as well as a high sense of responsibility.
