The Child Protection Center announces a competition for a Senior Expert position (on issues related to out-of-home care support centers) in the Methodological Management and Analytics Department, Methodological Management Division in Riga (for an indefinite period, 1 position) Position Purpose: Provide supervision, methodological and consultative support to out-of-home care support centers. Key Position Responsibilities: - organize and provide methodological and consultative support, develop methodological recommendations and guidelines for out-of-home care support centers and guardianship courts; - participate in working groups, meetings, seminars and other events within the scope of the position's competence, as well as represent the division's position in state and municipal institutions; - analyze the situation in the field of out-of-home care support centers and out-of-home care activities and provide suggestions for improvement; - ensure verification of reports and statements submitted by out-of-home care support centers in the SPOLIS system and conduct assessments; - monitor compliance with requirements for out-of-home care support centers established in regulatory acts; - compile statistics submitted by out-of-home care support centers; - prepare an assessment of the activities of out-of-home care support centers. Requirements for Candidates: - compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the Civil Service Law; - academic or professional higher education (second level), preferably in social sciences, management, law, education or social welfare; - at least two years of work experience in child protection; - at least one year of work experience in public administration or in an out-of-home care support center; - understanding of state administration operations and regulatory acts governing child protection; - understanding of development planning documents and the development of regulatory act drafts; - knowledge of child protection and guardianship court operations; - excellent written communication skills; - education acquired in the state language or state language proficiency corresponding to C1 level; - desirable good English language skills; - ability to work with standard office software (MS Word and MS Excel, web browsers, email programs); - presentation preparation and presentation skills. We Offer: - monthly salary from 1851 EUR to 1948 EUR (before tax deductions) in accordance with the position classification established by the Cabinet of Ministers in the state and municipal institutions position catalog, taking into account the salary group corresponding to the position, as well as individual qualification, competence and work performance levels; - bonuses and social guarantees in accordance with state administration provisions; - responsible and interesting work in the field of child rights protection, guardianship courts and out-of-home care operations; - professional knowledge, skills and ability development; - opportunity to contribute to the improvement of child protection regulatory acts; - opportunity to expand knowledge and gain practical experience in child protection; - flexible working hours and opportunity to work hybrid arrangements; - health insurance after the trial period.
