The Leisure Department works to create good opportunities for active, developing, and meaningful leisure time, with a focus on movement, community, accessibility, and social sustainability. The Leisure Department is part of the Societal Development Sector within culture and leisure and consists of 23 employees. The department is responsible for, among other things, the municipality's leisure and youth activities, youth centers and services for young adults, as well as association support, facility allocation, rentals, and development issues. Starting in 2027, the Leisure Department will take over the operation of the municipality's leisure facilities in-house. In preparation for this transition, we are seeking two new employees for our leisure team. 2 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a Facility Maintenance Worker, you are an important part of our work creating well-maintained, safe, and accessible leisure environments for the municipality's residents. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the operation and maintenance of Lerum Municipality's sports and leisure facilities and various outdoor recreation areas. The work involves a varied assignment where you get the opportunity to contribute to the municipality's leisure life and meet associations, children and young people, and the municipality's other residents. You become part of an evolving operation where collaboration, service, and engagement are important parts of daily work. The work is conducted for the Leisure Department and your work area covers all of Lerum Municipality with a focus on leisure and outdoor recreation facilities. Your main base of operations will be the Stenkullen area. The work is seasonal with both outdoor and indoor work. Operations are conducted according to a rotating schedule, which includes evening and weekend shifts. Facilities included in the assignment are: • Sports and ice halls • Sports fields and football pitches • Youth centers and meeting places • Bathing areas • Riding trails • Hiking trails and exercise paths • Parks, rest areas, and other outdoor and natural environments The assignment includes collaboration with other actors, both within and outside the municipality, primarily as a service function for the association life and the municipality's residents. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with practical experience in operation and maintenance in areas such as property, sports facilities, installations, trades, ice halls, or outdoor recreation. Relevant upper secondary education or other equivalent experience and knowledge is also relevant. If you have experience in additional activities related to the field, we consider that a merit. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English languages and have professional and correct language use. A Class B driver's license is required.
