About the Role
Want to make a difference? If you are not already a trained security guard, Securitas will cover the cost of your training prior to employment.
As a patrol security guard, your main task is to deliver security to our customers - primarily at industries, offices and workshops - by protecting property and buildings against fire, theft and damage. Typically you will manage the alarm systems and report using a computerized patrol information system. The work is independent and often feels free, but with great responsibility.
The position suits you if you like working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a security guard at our office in Oskarshamn, you will be part of a close-knit team. The work tasks are highly varied and as a security guard you can work both indoors and outdoors, night or day. Shifts vary in length but are often 12-hour shifts either day or night. Since we operate year-round, it is common to work every other weekend.

Requirements
Approved grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school
Good command of English
Category B driving license
Meritorious if you
are a trained security guard
have worked with similar tasks previously
have civilian or military security guard training
As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm and organized and can handle periodically high work tempo. You are interested in technology and find it easy to understand instructions. We see that you as an applicant are an independent person and trust your own abilities, quickly understand problems and solve them in a creative way. You have a systematic and thorough approach with an eye for detail. Great importance will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

For employment at Securitas Sverige AB, you must have approved grades from the first year of upper secondary school in Swedish and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment at an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security vetting according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns lawfulness, suitability, reliability, loyalty and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources or authorities. We apply a comprehensive assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.
Salary and employment terms are based on collective agreements between the employers' organization Säkerhetsföretagen and Svenska Transportarbetareförbundet.
