As a security guard at Avarn Security, you'll have an exciting day-to-day role where your task is to strengthen our customers' sense of safety and promote a more secure environment. A security guard plays a central role in maintaining safety and security in various settings. The job involves preventing and managing risks by monitoring premises, patrolling areas, and ensuring that security procedures are followed. The security guard often works in close contact with people and needs to act calmly and professionally in both everyday situations and during incidents. Work can range from alarm responses and access control to reporting deviations and cooperating with police or other authorities. Qualifications Beyond the personal qualities we seek and describe, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for the position: High school diploma or equivalent Fluid Swedish (spoken and written) Driver's license category B You must have reached 18 years of age by your start date. This requirement is based on the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2, chapter 8 and appendix 2, which limit minors' ability to perform tasks in security and protection-related operations. You must also be of clean record*, drug-free, have your finances in order, and be in good health and physical condition to be employed at Avarn Security. Security guard training (VU) is a merit on these positions. Other valuable qualifications include experience in the security industry, certain technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments. If you have the right profile for Avarn and you advance in the process but don't already have the required training (VU1, VU2), we will cover the cost of your training! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA (the Security Industry's Vocational and Work Environment Board). Participation is a prerequisite for employment.
