Your assignment as a road worker As a road worker with us, you work with road maintenance and operation, contributing to creating safe and well-functioning traffic environments. The role offers great variety and includes both planned and emergency interventions. Your tasks include inspections, work with road signs, surfaces, drainage, cleaning, and winter road maintenance. You will also work with traffic closures within the Swedish Transport Administration's fixed closures as well as in various TA projects. The work varies from TMA driving and traffic control work to smaller construction projects related to operations and road maintenance. The position includes summer and winter on-call duty. During on-call periods, you have a coordinating responsibility where you lead and distribute work and are responsible for communication with subcontractors. You will be based at our establishment in Hurva, but the work is carried out across large parts of Skåne. The position is full-time and regular working hours are usually between 07:00–16:00, but other working times may occur. Start date by agreement. Who are you? To succeed in the role as a road worker, we see it as a requirement that you have: Interest in traffic control work. B-license & C-license Good experience with digital working methods Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written It is advantageous if you have: Experience with road maintenance and operations, construction work, and traffic control Experience with winter on-call duty BE-license, Professional Competence Certificate (YKB), and APV training (work on roads) Part of something larger Svevia is today Sweden's largest operations contractor.
