About the Role
At Vafabmiljö, we see waste as a valuable resource in the circular economy. As a machine operator, you play an important role in transforming waste into new resources and contributing to energy recovery. By working structurally and with high quality, you and your work team ensure that materials are handled properly and can be reused.
Your main responsibilities are to operate wheel loaders, excavators, and material handlers in connection with loading, unloading, and transferring material at our waste facilities. You will primarily work with crushing waste for energy recovery, but also with sorting and processing different types of materials as well as quality assurance.
Part of the work includes daily equipment inspection and minor repairs to machines and equipment. You will be part of a rotating work team where we collaborate closely and support one another. Work may also include assignments at other facilities in the region.
As part of your role, you will also work as a machine specialist. This means you work closely with supervisors and management on matters concerning our machines and technical equipment. You contribute your practical experience and expertise in both strategic and operational decisions, for example when selecting and purchasing new machines and technical equipment.
So this is a role where you combine hands-on work in the operation with the opportunity to influence how we develop our machines and work methods going forward.

As part of our team, you are expected to live and lead according to our values—Trustworthy, Thoughtful, and Innovative (TTI)—and to share our commitment to a sustainable society.
In this recruitment, great weight will be given to personal qualities.
