Valmiera Primary School (hereinafter – the School) invites applications for a Deputy Director position in the education sector, focusing on inclusive education and support measures (0.5 full-time equivalent) for an indefinite period.
We are looking for a colleague who wants to help the School create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for children, and to coordinate the support system for students who need additional assistance in the learning process, behavior, socio-emotional development, or other education-related situations.
If you want to:
● plan, coordinate, and oversee the system of inclusive education and support measures in the School;
● organize the support team's work, ensuring collaboration among teachers, special education teachers, psychologists, speech therapists, social pedagogues, teacher assistants, medical staff, and other specialists;
● coordinate the timely identification of students' special needs, learning difficulties, behavioral, socio-emotional, and other support needs;
● oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized education program learning plans and individual support measures;
● coordinate the provision of support measures in daily instruction, tests, and state examinations;
● provide methodological support to teachers in planning differentiated and individualized instruction;
● cooperate with students' parents, Valmiera Municipality, pedagogical-medical commissions, social services, guardianship courts, and other institutions;
● oversee documentation related to support measures, its circulation, updates, and confidentiality;
● participate in school development planning, self-evaluation, quality system improvement, and matters related to inclusive education and student well-being;
and you have:
● education and professional qualifications in accordance with regulatory requirements for teacher education and professional qualifications;
● compliance with the requirements of the Education Law and the Child Protection Law for working in an educational institution;
● state language proficiency in accordance with the State Language Law requirements;
● knowledge of regulatory acts governing education, child protection, data protection, and inclusive education;
● understanding of inclusive education principles, support measures, curriculum differentiation, and individualization;
● competencies: ability to manage team work, plan processes, make decisions, and ensure their implementation; good collaboration and communication skills; ability to work with information technologies, school management systems, and state information systems; psychological resilience, accuracy, responsibility, and ability to act in non-standard situations;
● preference will be given to candidates with education, professional development, or previous work experience related to inclusive education, special education, support staff work, or organization and coordination of support measures;
