The Research and Development Department (R&D) is tasked with supporting and driving systematic quality work within the education office's educational activities – from preschool to upper secondary school – with a focus on strengthening children's and students' learning, development, and equity. R&D shall, in close collaboration with the operations, contribute to ensuring that education is based on scientific evidence and proven experience. The assignment includes initiating, coordinating, and monitoring development initiatives that lead to improved teaching and strengthened professional competence among staff and leaders. Your tasks As a development strategist, you contribute with your expertise, knowledge, and ideas to develop our systematic quality work across all our operations. The work takes place both at the principal level together with the research and development director, school principals, and area managers, as well as at the operational level together with rectors and educators. You also collaborate with colleagues in the research and development department to find pathways for development. The assignment includes preparing materials and criteria for quality reports, participating in quality dialogues, monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating results. This further means that you initiate, plan, and also lead change efforts. The assignment also includes overall responsibility for framing competence development based on the needs and circumstances of our operations. As a development strategist, you are involved in matters concerning skills provision in our operations and provide your input on important strategic initiatives. Who are you? We are looking for someone with higher education, substantial experience in development work, and in leading processes at the overall administrative level. You also have relevant experience in student-centered work in our field of activities ages 0-20, preferably in various roles. You have very good knowledge of the complexity of preschool and school based on governing documents, school legislation, and regulations. Experience with literacy development work and work in a politically governed operation is considered meritorious. You have strong analytical abilities and can drive processes forward as well as complete and evaluate them. You plan, organize, and prioritize work in an efficient manner. You take initiative, are responsive, and work very well together with others. Further, you are a skilled communicator in speech and writing, with the ability to create engagement and participation in groups.
