We are now looking for a Development Officer who wants to contribute to our operations at the Cyber Defense Command (CFL) and has an interest in developing our cyber defense capabilities in both the short and long term. About the Role The Swedish Armed Forces continues to develop cyber defense and is looking for you to be part of developing research and development in this area. This development is part of the overall effort to strengthen total defense and the Swedish Armed Forces' operational capability, both individually and within the alliance. The work is carried out both internally within the Swedish Armed Forces and in collaboration with other defense agencies. You are responsible for environmental monitoring within the field and communicate and disseminate knowledge and results to increase utilization and capability development. You design and implement innovation-promoting working methods and represent the development work within the cyber field in national and international forums. Identify development needs, initiate and follow up on development projects, communicate and disseminate results to increase utilization. Conduct environmental monitoring within the field. Collaborate with other defense agencies. Develop and implement innovation/development methods. Coordinate innovation and development work within the cyber field in national and international projects/forums. We are looking for you who meet one of the following requirements: Relevant academic degree at master's level or higher in computer science, engineering, or natural sciences. At least five years of experience working with relevant development activities. At least two years of documented experience in project management/project coordination with good results. Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Good experience with and ability to deliver oral presentations. It is meritorious if you have: Current experience working with similar issues, for example: technical development work, innovation projects from idea to implementation, commercialization of research, or work in innovation hubs. Experience working in the public sector. Experience working in the total defense sector. Experience working with cyber issues. Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. From 2023-01-01, Headquarters consists of the Defense Staff, Operations Command, Military Intelligence and Security Service, as well as Headquarters' staff division and independent units for supervision. Employment with us entails placement in a security classification. Swedish citizenship is usually required. Security vetting with background checks will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment includes an obligation to be war-positioned.
