The Department of Special Education is Sweden's only institution for special pedagogy and conducts interdisciplinary research and education at undergraduate, advanced, and doctoral levels. Approximately 1,600 teacher training students take our courses annually across various teacher education programs, and around 1,200 students are enrolled in the department's other programs, including special education teacher programs and special pedagogy programs. The department has approximately 90 employees and primarily operates on Stockholm University's newly built Albano campus. More information about us can be found at: Department of Special Education Job Responsibilities The position is located in the department's technical and administrative group, and you will work in educational administration. Working as an Educational Administrator involves close communication and frequent contact with students, teachers, and other staff at the department, and may also involve collaboration with other parts of the university. Your main responsibilities will include supporting teachers and students with admissions, registrations, production and distribution/publication of course information, and other administrative services for students and teachers. Other administrative tasks within the framework of annual activity planning may also occur. You will work in Stockholm University's administrative systems such as Ladok, NyA, Survey & Report, Canvas, and others. Qualifications We are seeking a self-directed, engaged, and driven person who is experienced in building relationships, skilled at collaboration and communication. As a person, you are solution-oriented, accustomed to working proactively, and interested in administrative development work. You need to be skilled at working in a structured manner and experienced in providing excellent service. You have experience handling both simple and more complex tasks in an unpretentious manner. Personal suitability is given great weight in this recruitment. Requirements Academic degree in a relevant field, or alternatively other education combined with work experience that the employer deems equivalent. Several years of work experience in areas relevant to the position. Strong ability to express yourself orally and in writing in both Swedish and English. Merits You have previous experience in the higher education sector or have worked in other public service. Knowledge of the university world and familiarity with regulations regarding university education. Experience working with the administrative systems and programs that Stockholm University uses for case management and administration. About the Employment The position is permanent full-time with a six-month probationary period. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting; please indicate your salary expectations.
