YrkesAkademin is seeking a dedicated instructor for our machine operator training program in Sundsvall. Your experience can change someone else's future As an instructor with us, you play a crucial role in participants' path toward education and employment. You teach both practical and theoretical components and help participants develop the knowledge, skills, and safety mindset required in the industry. You don't need to know everything about pedagogy from day one. What matters most is that you know your trade, enjoy working with people, and want to share your experience. In this role you will, among other things teach practical and theoretical components in machinery and construction instruct participants in how to use machines safely and professionally guide, support, and motivate participants with different backgrounds and experiences create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment follow participants' progress and help them achieve their goals maintain contact with companies and industry representatives to ensure the training meets labor market needs Are you the one we're looking for? We're looking for someone who has worked as a machine operator and takes pride in your profession. You are confident in your professional role, have patience, and can explain both how work should be performed and why it should be done in a particular way. You enjoy seeing people develop and understand that participants may need varying levels of support to succeed. As a person, you are responsible, clear, and good at building trust. Requirements for the position To be suitable for this position, you must have: a professional certificate for at least 3 years with excavators, excavating machines, and wheel loaders in construction, issued according to BYN/TYA at least three years of experience as a machine operator in the last ten years class B driver's license good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written It is a merit if you have experience in training, introducing, or mentoring others training as an APL mentor or equivalent experience experience with additional types of machines or work areas within construction pedagogical training or experience as a course leader Have you previously helped new colleagues into their work, shown interns how the job works, or been the person others ask for advice? Then you likely already have several of the qualities needed to become a good instructor.
