We are seeking an engaged and knowledgeable instructor for the course "Administration and Economics" within our vocational higher education program for medical administrative assistants in Örebro.
This is an opportunity for you who want to use your professional experience in a new way and help prepare tomorrow's medical administrative assistants for working life. You don't need to be a teacher by profession. What matters most is that you have relevant professional experience, know your field, and enjoy explaining and helping others develop.
About the Assignment
Period: weeks 9–13, 2027
Scope: approximately 2–3 teaching days per week
Location: Aspholmen, Örebro
Compensation: fixed compensation according to our terms for instructor assignments within vocational higher education
The assignment includes, among other things:
planning and delivering instruction based on the course syllabus
developing and adapting teaching materials
building the course in our learning platform Canvas
creating instruction that connects theory to real work tasks
maintaining ongoing contact with students
conducting assessments according to the course objectives
What is the Course About?
The course reflects several administrative tasks that a medical administrative assistant may encounter in working life, including:
documents and healthcare-related information materials
economics, budgeting, and financing within healthcare
invoice handling, fees, and the process from referral to invoice
health informatics, quality registers, and basic statistics
operational planning, follow-up, and information presentation.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone with practical experience in economics, administration, or healthcare, preferably from public sector work. Your background could be, for example, as an economist or financial administrator, administrator within public services or healthcare, or another professional role where several of the course's areas are included.
We believe that you:
enjoy explaining and making complex matters understandable
can create engagement and participation among students
are organized and can plan your work independently
communicate easily and create good rapport with people.
Previous experience in teaching, mentoring, or training is a merit, but not a requirement. What matters most is that you have the professional knowledge and the willingness to share it.
