About the Position
As a swim instructor at Mermaid Simskola, you will be responsible for:
Planning and delivering swimming lessons according to our teaching philosophy.
Creating a safe, secure, and inspiring learning environment.
Motivating and developing participants at different levels.
Contributing to a positive work climate together with your colleagues.
Being an important role model who spreads swimming joy and water confidence.
We offer instruction for both children and adults and work with small groups where quality and individual development are the focus.
We Are Looking for You If You
Have a valid swim instructor certification or equivalent.
Are confident and secure in a pool environment.
Have a professional and pedagogical approach.
Enjoy working with people of different ages and backgrounds.
Can work evenings and/or weekends during the fall 2026 term.
Previous experience as a swim instructor is an advantage, but we also place great emphasis on engagement, responsibility, and personal suitability.

Working Hours
Instructions are primarily held in the evenings and on weekends. Exact shifts will be specified in our interest form, where you indicate which times you are available to work.

Long-Term Employment
This recruitment primarily concerns the fall 2026 term, as that is our current need right now. However, our ambition is to build a long-term and stable team, not to hire for just one term.
We are therefore looking for someone who wants to develop together with Mermaid Simskola and who sees the possibility of continuing in future terms as well. For the right person, there are good opportunities for long-term collaboration and a recurring role on our team.
