The Police Authority's IT department plays a central role in enabling the agency's mission. Through secure, stable, and modern IT solutions, the department supports both daily operations and some of the Police Authority's most specialized functions.
We are now seeking a mission leader for IT infrastructure and for the group working with backup and storage to address multiple technical areas responsible for developing and managing IT environments including client solutions, data, and telephony. The assignments also include specialist support to operations such as tactical units, bomb disposal, police aviation, maritime police, and other functions with particularly high requirements for availability, security, and customization.
Job Description
As a mission leader, you are responsible for driving development and management toward established goals together with police operations, specialists, and expertise from different parts of the IT department. The role encompasses infrastructure areas including storage, backup, servers, and networks. You will plan and implement new products or capabilities, maintain, and refine our offerings. The work also involves developing processes and working methods.
In your role, you may encounter a varied day-to-day, and a typical day as a mission leader may include:
Planning, implementation, and follow-up of ongoing assignments
Identifying new needs
Formulating and sharing information
Participating in networks with other groups within the department
Scheduling and leading various meetings and forums
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience that the employer deems equivalent
Several years of experience leading assignments/projects in IT, such as mission leader, product owner, or project manager
Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish
Experience working in IT infrastructure
The position requires Swedish citizenship

We consider it advantageous if, in addition to the above, you also have:
Experience working with vendor contacts and contract management
Experience coordinating complex assignments
Experience from public sector operations
Experience with agile work
