Job Description AFRY's Public & Commercial Places business unit is one of Sweden's leading players in the building and property sector with approximately 1,000 employees. Within building construction, we work with both complex new construction and renovation projects, where requirements for sustainable, robust, and cost-effective solutions are in focus. At our Örebro office, you will become part of a growing team with strong local presence and good rootedness in the region. We have agreements with several major customers in the region, including Region Örebro County, which means you will most likely work on projects related to hospitals and healthcare environments – often with high demands for functionality, robustness, and longevity. You will work on both local assignments in the Örebro region and larger national projects, often in close collaboration with public and private clients. The role offers a varied and developmental day where you follow projects through the entire process – from early stages and systems design to building documentation and production. The Örebro office currently consists of about twenty employees within Public & Commercial Places with primary expertise in HVAC and electrical systems. Our building construction operations in Örebro are being built up, which gives you a unique opportunity to help establish and develop our offering locally – both technically and commercially. As a project manager in building construction, you have a central role with both technical and commercial responsibility. You will: Lead and be responsible for construction assignments from early stage to final delivery Ensure quality, schedule, and budget in projects Be an advisory partner to clients in both local and national projects Drive technical solutions in building construction in collaboration with AFRY's combined expertise across multiple disciplines Coordinate and lead project teams and support and develop colleagues Contribute to building and developing AFRY's structural engineering offering in Örebro and the Mitt region Here you have the opportunity to combine technical expertise with business understanding and leadership in projects that contribute to societal development. Qualifications We are looking for you who have: Several years of experience (from approximately 8 years) in building construction as a consultant Experience with project or assignment management with responsibility for quality, schedule, and budget Very strong competence in static calculations and dimensioning and good experience working according to Eurocodes and BBR Good knowledge of Revit and/or Tekla Experience with complex projects, preferably in hospitals or other technically demanding environments Experience working closely with clients and driving business dialogue To thrive with us, we believe that you: Have a solid technical foundation and are confident in making decisions in your role as a project manager in structural engineering Enjoy a leadership role where you are responsible for driving and coordinating construction work in projects Have a clear business drive and appreciate working closely with clients, where you contribute to developing our relationships in the region Have strong analytical skills and a structured working approach, which enables you to handle complex technical challenges and develop robust, cost-effective solutions Are solution-oriented, quality-conscious, and thrive in projects with many interfaces You communicate fluently in Swedish in speech and writing and have a valid driver's license (category B).
