The Department of Business Administration, Stockholm Business School (SBS), is one of the largest departments at Stockholm University with approximately 150 employees and approximately 3,500 students per academic year. Business Administration with a focus on Finance.
Job Responsibilities
The position holder shall teach courses at both basic and advanced levels in finance. The duties also include supervision of students at various levels, course development, course responsibility, and independent research. Teaching takes place to a large extent in English.
Eligibility Requirements
Eligible for employment as a University Lecturer in Business Administration with a focus on Finance is a person who has earned a doctoral degree in Business Administration with a focus on corporate finance or financial economics, or who holds a Swedish or foreign degree deemed equivalent to such a doctoral degree.
To be assessed as eligible, the applicant must demonstrate documented pedagogical experience and proficiency in teaching corporate finance or financial economics.
The pedagogical proficiency must have been demonstrated through teaching at both basic and advanced levels in finance. The proficiency must be well documented in a way that makes it possible to assess the quality of the pedagogical activities.
Assessment Criteria
In the selection process, particular emphasis will be placed on pedagogical proficiency demonstrated through personal teaching at basic and advanced levels as well as supervision, course responsibility, and pedagogical development within the finance discipline.
Considerable emphasis is also placed on experience teaching corporate finance.
Weight is given to administrative proficiency and the ability to collaborate with the surrounding society and to communicate about research and development work.
Meritorious are higher education pedagogical studies of at least 15 higher education credits or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways.
About the Employment
The position with a scope of 50% of full-time is time-limited for a period of seven (7) months. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. More than one applicant may be hired. Start date by agreement.
