Jönköping University School of Education and Communication (HLK) is one of four faculties at Jönköping University. We conduct education and research in teacher education, media and communication science, global studies, and Human Resources, and offer extensive contract education aimed at professional development and skills enhancement. We are now seeking two university lecturers in law with a primary focus on our HR program. WHAT WE OFFER YOU As a university lecturer, you will primarily teach and examine labor law. Depending on your expertise, teaching may also cover related areas such as negotiation and mediation, international labor law, workplace ethics, and the legal and organizational implications of AI for HR work. Teaching occurs primarily within the HR program and our contract education, but work within other relevant programs may also occur. Your position will include: planning, conducting, and developing instruction, designing and conducting examinations, serving as course coordinator and examiner, supervising student work, contributing to the development of the discipline and programs, participating in collegial quality and development work, collaborating with working life and other stakeholders in society. Other customary administrative and academic tasks may also be included in the position. Time for professional development is included according to applicable agreements. Personal suitability will be given substantial weight. To be eligible for employment, you must have: a law degree, documented knowledge of labor law, pedagogical skill or a clear pedagogical philosophy, the ability to develop instruction, courses, and examinations, the ability to teach and examine in both Swedish and English You should also have completed higher education pedagogy training or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge. If you lack such training at the start of employment, you must be willing to complete higher education pedagogy training during the first two years of employment. In the assessment, particular weight will be given to subject expertise in labor law and documented pedagogical skill. It is advantageous if you have: documented experience teaching at a college or university, experience with course coordination and examination, current professional experience in labor law, HR, or related work, experience with contract education, competence or teaching experience in negotiation and mediation, competence in workplace ethics, knowledge of the legal and organizational implications of AI for HR work. International competence and professional experience will also be considered. INFORMATION These are permanent full-time positions. A probationary period applies. Start date for employment is planned for January 15, 2027 or by agreement. These positions are subject to annual working hours for teachers as specified in the university's collective agreement.
