We are seeking a university lecturer in informatics for a fixed-term position at the School of Business, Örebro University. Subject Area The subject area for this position is: Informatics Background The Informatics department, with 22 staff members, is seeking a university lecturer who can teach in our Master's program with a focus on management and governance of information security. The international Master's program aims to educate individuals for leadership positions in information security. Students are trained in managing information security through administrative, social, and technical measures. The program offers opportunities for internships and work-integrated learning. Job Responsibilities As a university lecturer, you will primarily focus on teaching and related collaboration. A university lecturer should also contribute to the university's development. For this position, teaching in courses within the Master's program is relevant. In addition to teaching in the form of lectures, seminar facilitation, and project supervision, the role includes some course development. Qualifications To be eligible for appointment as a university lecturer, you must have demonstrated pedagogical skill and hold a degree at the Master's level (or equivalent) in a relevant field. Other theoretical competence combined with relevant experience in the subject area may be deemed equivalent to a Master's degree. Other Assessment Criteria As many courses are based on the methods "case-based learning" and "flipped classroom," experience with such pedagogy is advantageous. It is particularly advantageous to have competence and be able to teach in the management and governance of information security regarding organizational, human, and technical aspects. As several of the Master's level courses focus on theory application and scientific writing, knowledge of theories within information systems research and your own publishing in this area is particularly advantageous. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities. We are seeking an engaged person with good collaboration skills and initiative.
