Your responsibilities Occupational therapy encompasses knowledge of human performance in daily activities and participation in one's living environment in relation to health and development. The target group for occupational therapy is people with disabilities or people who for other reasons experience limitations in their everyday activities. The interaction between the individual and the environment is central, and teaching and research at the Unit for Occupational Therapy concern the consequences that disabilities and barriers or opportunities in the environment have on individuals' activity and participation. Furthermore, we study how occupational therapy interventions can be designed to promote activity, participation, and health. The educational mission of the unit includes the Occupational Therapist Program, freestanding courses at advanced level in occupational therapy, and the Master's Program in Medical Science. As a university lecturer in occupational therapy, you will primarily teach at the undergraduate level in Swedish and supervise students in various programs within the Faculty of Medicine. The work includes, for example, base groups, seminars, lectures, and examinations. At the Faculty of Medicine, student-centered teaching methods are applied. Your qualifications We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist and has completed at least a master's degree or has equivalent competence, and who has demonstrated pedagogical skill. For this position, particular weight will be placed on pedagogical skill. Pedagogical skill is demonstrated through the ability to convey relevant knowledge and skills, engage students in their own learning, create interest and enthusiasm for the subject area, and the ability to structure and organize both content and working methods in relation to the subject area's goals. Furthermore, pedagogical skill is demonstrated through the ability to contribute to the development and renewal of education and the ability to reflect on one's own teaching practice. Beyond the eligibility requirements, experience with teaching and course responsibility is meritorious for this position. Experience with clinical work as an occupational therapist and teaching in higher education and problem-based learning is particularly meritorious. Applicants whose native language is not Swedish must demonstrate the ability to teach in Swedish. You are flexible and have the ability to move between different types of pedagogical and scientific contexts. You share your knowledge and contribute to your work group's professional development, collegial working methods, and social community. The work requires a high degree of responsibility and the ability to independently plan, structure, and prioritize your work tasks.
