About Unika Björkåsgatan
Unika Björkåsgatan is a group home with six apartments in central Mölndal. It is home to individuals with autism who have a high degree of independence in their daily lives and who need individually tailored support and guidance. Unika Björkåsgatan is centrally located in Mölndal with proximity to parks, grocery stores, and restaurants. This provides excellent opportunities to use the local environment as a natural part of daily life and create conditions for participation and independence.
About the Role of Support Assistant
As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to people with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support the service users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, and always use their personal implementation plan as your starting point.
We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, where we start from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for service users to achieve as much independence as possible and be able to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal approaches to create security and predictability in the service users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the organization's resources and budget.
Qualifications
You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive way and enjoy working together with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
Very good ability in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
Experience working in care and support.
Upper secondary education such as child and leisure program, care and support program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or higher education in a relevant field.
Meritorious if you also have:
Experience in psychiatry, AAC (alternative and augmentative communication), and low-arousal approaches.
